The Haunted Fuzzy Felts Board!Todays "August Pot Luck!" theme is 'scary dreams'! Back in the 1970's, with there being not a lot of money around, the toys you played with were usually handed down from older cousins. Depending on how large the family was that had the toys previously meant what sort of condition they would be in. Tennis racquets with holes in them that the tennis ball would fly right through, speaking dolls that would croak some unintelligible voodoo curse when you pulled the string on the back, etc. I'll never forget the day I opened the lid on the 'Fuzzy Felts Circus'. This was no dainty ballerinas on balls or friendly ringmasters...oh no, this Circus of horrors couldn't have been scarier if it had been designed by Tod Browning himself! I think that the mice must have ran riot through it as i was left with gymnasts with no heads, sealions with half a flipper, and clowns with no bodies. Those clowns were scary enough to begin with anyway...they had these red drawn on expressions....blood red! Arched eyebrows and crosses for eyes, a short, stabbed, line for the mouth. You didn't know if these clowns were laughing, or crying, or silently plotting to escape from the fuzzy felt box and gobble you up. The nightmares those clowns gave me...i still shiver to think of them. And so, here they are for you! Sleep well, and i'll see you tomorrow!
