Finding Nessie! (Part 1)Today's theme picked from the "August Pot Luck!" hat is 'Scottish', and what could be more Scottish than the 'Loch Ness Monster', or 'Nessie', as she is more affectionately known. I've decided to show the design process of finding this wee character, and today is part 1. As you'll see from the image below, she certainly did change from the first version to the 2nd! Like I say, I was just doodling and started drawing a number '2' shape..a couple of lines later and there was a cute wee face keeking away coyly at me.
I need to draw a character a few times to get to 'know' them, to refine them, and change/improve on things that may be lacking. You'll see in this second version she's definitely a bit more 'Sassy'. However, have I lost the cuteness factor? Well i'll just have to decide that when i draw version 3! Check back and see how she progresses. See ye tomorra! Davy Comments are closed.
