The Selkie Chaser! There's a touch of Scottish myths and legends on the blog today, as the theme of 'folklore' was pulled from the "August Pot Luck!" hat. Behold the 'Selkie Chaser!' Again this character just came to me as i was sketching. I was trying out a new couple of brushes and it just forced itself onto the page. So far i've only come up with his head, so stay tuned for more of this character's development.
It appears to be squeezing itself through a magic portal in order to chase the 'Selkies' (seal people) who are it's prey. Who set up these underwater portals, and who rears these ferocious beasts anyway?...all shall be revealed in time! I once wrote a whole screenplay focusing on the Selkie's - perhaps this beast is urging me to go back and have another look at it! Have a creative day, and i'll see you tomorra!
